Well, I think all the poems pretty clearly state the fact that the characters are lonely. First in the Seafarer on line 15 he says "whirled in sorrow alone in a world blown clear of love."  it sounds as if the character is writing in a journal, about how miserable he is, and in that line he says he's lonely. In the second poem, titled The Wanderer the character starts out on the first line with "This lonely traveler longs for grace, For the mercy of God. Also, in every poem they sort of plead with God, to relieve them of their sorrow. And in the final poem named The Wife's Lament, the women is lost, looking for her lord, who is her husband. In line 21 she says they vowed to each other that nothing would bring them apart but death, but since he left her, breaking their vow, in the end shes wishes the worse on him.
